Todays Money Tip - Save Money By Always Keeping Your Emotions In Check!

Keep your emotions in check when you want to purchase something! Don't buy with your emotions, buy with your brain!! Especially if you are heading to a new car dealership or to see any expensive item. There are people out there who got so excited about this cash for clunkers offer that they were not thinking about increased insurance, monthly payments and other fees that go along with buying a new car...........like interest! When I was younger, I went to buy this car I wanted very bad, and the sad and dumb part about it was that after sitting in it on a prior trip to the dealership. I made up my mind I was going to buy the car BEFORE getting to the dealership. How dumb is that? Make certain you can make the payments if your buying a new or used car. Don't get so excited that you make too quick a decision. Just use your brain and think things through you buy anything. This goes for anything you want to buy and think you have to have it today - only to find out in 3 months that it's not what it was cracked up to be. It does not make you happy. You now realize your model is not the best brand. The store you did NOT look at offers a better warranty.  Or you just plain wish you had not bought what you did. There are so many factors that have to be considered. The bottom line is this - you save money and I mean thousands or tens of thousands of dollars if you only keep your emotions in check. We all get excited about buying things sometimes, but if we get too excited we will be near-sited and not be able to recognize the down side of what we want to purchase. Todays Money Tip - Where To Begin With Personal Debt

Most people have spent more money than they have at least one time in their life. And if you are in financial debt at this time, then now is the time to stand up and do some things about it. This won’t be easy. - sacrifices will have to be made. You did not get into debt over night and you won’t get out of debt over night. The first two things you have to do immediately if you are in over your head is to make a simple plan of: 1. how you are going to make a little bit of extra money and 2. stop any unnecessary spending right now. I think if you don’t stop meaningless spending then earning extra money will just be futile. So let’s first discuss some ways to do this. Destroy all of your credit cards right now except maybe one for an emergency only. What? Yes - do it! But if you are unable to discipline yourself then destroy all of them. Pack your lunch - even if everyone else at work is eating out. Right now is not the time to worry about what other people think. Now is the time for action. Go from name brand to generic. Just go cheap everyplace you are able at this time without being immoral or stupid. I mean if you need to buy something and if you know from experience that the one dollar item is going to break in one day and the three dollar item will last for six months then it’s common sense to buy the three dollar item instead. So use your brain. The other thing is stop using tobacco and alcohol if you are struggling financially. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but that’s really dumb. I definitely support freedom to smoke and drink. But if you don’t have enough money for food and you are still doing these things then there is something wrong. Mow your own lawn, if you have the equipment then now is the time to use it! Stop dining out and buying take-out but instead cook your food.  These are all things that you have heard before but you have to make these sacrifices until you get back on your feet financially. Now that you have curved your spending habits, you must focus on making more money. You could work overtime, get a second job, or sell some of your clutter on Craigslist or Ebay. If you are not sure how to list on Ebay and you have some valuable things that you will never use again you could always find a business that sells things FOR you on Ebay. They will charge you a percentage. And sometimes it’s up to 20%, but often times it’s only 15%. Either way it’s some cash needed at this time. Use your local pawn shop, have a yard sale, put something in your local news paper if you want to sell. Cash your bucket of change in if you have one laying around. There are many ways to make some extra money and I will write an article listing them. But right now use any extra money to pay down your debt - this is crucial. And as a credit card gets paid off, you will feel so much peace. Trust me on this. I do advise placing some money aside on a regular basis for an emergency. And if it’s only $10, $20, or $30 dollars a month that’s ok as long as you keep it there and use it for it’s purpose - an emergency. Then place the rest on your debt. Todays Comedy - Hilarious Urine Mishap

About a year ago my wife was standing in the kitchen cooking at the counter when my youngest daughter who was beginning to potty train entered behind her. My daughter stood on the TILE kitchen floor and simply peed on it right behind my wife. Then she just looked down sort of dumbfounded at the large puddle beneath her. All was well until suddenly my oldest daughter came tearing around the corner, slipping on the pee, wiping out herself and my younger daughter. They both began screaming as they slid across the slippery tile floor in the pee. They tried to get up but slipped and fell in it again. They were unharmed but very upset to say the least. My wife was burning with anger over the mess as the kids wallowed in the urine covered floor. Myself, well I ended up on the floor too - laughing my head off. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!! Though in the doghouse I was the rest of the day, that incident was well worth it!!

Todays Comedy - Hilarious Hunting Trip

A guy buys a brand new Lincoln Navigator truck for $42,500 and has $560 monthly payments. He and a friend go duck hunting in winter, and of course all the lakes are frozen. These two guys go out on the lake with their guns, a dog, and of course the new vehicle. They drive out onto the lake ice and get ready. Now, they want to make some kind of a natural landing area for the ducks, something for the decoys to float on. In order to make a hole large enough to look like something a wandering duck would fly down and land on, it's going to take a little more effort than an ice hole drill. So, out of the back of the new Navigator truck comes a stick of dynamite with a short, 40-second fuse. The Rocket Scientists do take into consideration that they want to place the stick of dynamite on the ice at a location far from where they are standing (and from the new Navigator truck), and they don't want to take the risk of slipping on the ice when they run from the lit dynamite fuse and possibly go up in smoke with the resulting blast. They light the 40-second fuse and throw the dynamite as far away as they can. Remember the vehicle, the guns, and the dog? Well the dog is a highly trained Labrador used for RETRIEVING. Especially good at retrieving things thrown by the owner. You guessed it, the dog takes off full speed on the ice and captures the stick of dynamite with the burning 40-second fuse about the time it hits the ice. The two men screaming and waving their arms wonder what to do now. The dog, cheered on, keeps coming at full speed. One of the guys grabs the shotgun and shoots the dog. The shotgun is loaded with #8 bird shot, hardly big enough to stop a Lab. The dog stops for a moment, slightly confused, but continues on. Another shot and this time the dog, still standing, becomes really confused and terrified, thinking these two geniuses have gone insane. The dog takes off finding cover, under the brand new Navigator truck.. The men continue to yell as they run away. The exhaust pipe on the truck is still hot, so the dog yelps and drops the dynamite under the truck, and takes off after his master. Then --BOOM-- the truck is blown to bits and sinks to the bottom of the lake in a very large hole, leaving the two idiots standing there with this \"I can't believe this happened\" look on their faces. The insurance company says that sinking a vehicle in a lake by illegal use of explosives is NOT COVERED. He still had yet to make the first of those $560.00 a month payments! Ouch!

Todays Comedy - Watch The Road Signs

Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH. He thinks to himself, \"This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!\"So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over. Approaching the car, he notices that there are five old ladies, two in the front seat and three in the back, wide eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him, \"Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?\" \"Ma'am,\" the officer replies, \"You weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers.\" \"Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly twenty two miles an hour!\" the old woman says a bit proudly. The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that \"22\" was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error. \"But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask... Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time,\" the officer asks. \"Oh, they'll be all right in a minute officer. We just got off Route 142.\"
